How’s that again?
A few years ago, young Willie, a student of mine, went into the local corner store across the street from where I lived. He placed a $2.00 bill on the counter. Jack, the owner, said: "Yes, Willie, what can I get for you?" Willie replied: "Sir, you knows". Jack: "What do you mean? I don't know". Willie: "Well, sir, Mom said you knows". Jack: "Now Willie. Tell me exactly what your mother said". Willie: "Well sir, I was sittin' at the table, doin' me homework, and Mom said: 'Willie, I wants you to go to the store for me". So I said: 'OK Mom, what do you want?" She gave me the $2.00, and said 'E knows'. So here I am. With that, Jack smiled and placed a bottle of ENO fruit salts on the counter.
