Toast
Dear Downhomer, I was sitting down, the other night, with my stomach growling, when I had such A beautiful idea! I don't know if anyone else has ever done this, but when I was younger, and our toaster gave out, we had to improvise to get some toast. Well, my mom would grab A wire coat hanger and say, I knows what to do, I'll just use this to make some toast! We all looked at her, in amazement, as she bent that hanger, so that one side was directly on top of the stove burner, and the other was facing up, over the burner. She would the take A slice of bread and put it on top of the hanger, on the burner. She toasted one side of the bread and then flipped it over and toasted the other. Voila! Toast! Well, that toast was the best ever and to have it again brought back such A good childhood memory!
