THAT MAN
THAT MAN
You never met a man like him,
There was nothing he couldn't do,
He could build a boat, move a church,
Or make a pot of stew,
He could talk about the Bible,
Or tell tales from Mother Goose,
He even knew the reason why,
"The Mountie ate the moose."
He always had the answers,
For the things I didn't know,
Like why the moon shined at night,
Or why rain turned into snow.
He could make a "special brew,"
Or do math problems in his head,
He could make you laugh all day,
By the funny things he did.
He always helped the neighbors out,
So, they all knew where to come,
He would help no matter what,
‘Cause he'd do it just for fun.
Yes, he could fix most anything,
From a truck to a radio,
He even patched a pair of boots,
For a man he didn't know.
This man could make me feel so good,
When I was hurt, or feeling sad,
He would kiss it, and make it better,
Because, "That Man" he was my dad.
