Cpl. Jason Derry of RCMP in Baie Verte, NL was posted to the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver for a month on mountain bike patrol about the Pacific Coliseum, the venue for short track and figure skating.

The photo of "A Watch," one of three integrated security unit shifts consisting of police personnel from all jurisdictions in Canada, was taken on "centre ice" at the Pacific Coliseum during quiet hours one nightshift.

Cpl. Derry is the RCMP officer in yellow gear on the mountain bike on the right of the photo with the NL flag drapped vertically from his bicycle handle bars. Proudly the only Newfoundlander assigned to this venue.
