Dedicated to the eternal call of love between a man and a woman.

Unable to move, unable to stand,

You stole my heart and you held my hand.

My faith was unsure, I was under a spell,

Then you opened the door where a new hope could dwell.

Suddenly love found its way to start anew,

We were drawn together; our paths became true.

The strength of our bond grew stronger each day,

Until the time came when we chose the same way.

I saw your plight and I knew where to begin,

I felt a spirit flow from within.

I wasn’t sure then, but I soon realized,

I could heal all your pain and silence your cries.

I became your man, full of honor and pride,

So proud to have you right there by my side.

You stood by me through the thick and the thin,

With a love that stayed strong and would never give in.

I was so young, carefree, and alone,

Until that sweet day when you took me home.

I was welcomed and cherished and taken within,

To a family and place where I had never yet been.

At the end of each day came the joy of the night,

Our marriage was full and the world felt so right.

With the sun hanging high in the midday joy,

Came the blessing of life and the birth of our boy.

Four years of waiting, then finally we knew,

The waiting was over, our family grew.

With joy far beyond what the world could unfurl,

Came a beautiful gift—our baby girl.
