Veiled Charms
Veiled Charms
That face unknown beneath the veil
Appears so haunting and so trustful
The very fact that not disclosed
Presents a certain air so lustful
But there behind that veil
She wishes so to hide
Lest lifting of the veil
Lays bare her sense of pride
It is to my mind very strange
How the unknown presents to us
A certain allure we find so attractive
And which for us is a plus
That feeling is so very innate
I cannot explain the reason why
But I accept it as a fact of life
No matter how hard I try
So take heed you ladies so endowed
And continue to ply your trade
You will reap the rewards no doubt
When all the facts are bare laid
And as for me I'm happy with
My varied personal histories
And I wouldn't change a thing about
How I react to those veiled mysteries
