This candid photo of two of my grandchildren captures the atmosphere of relaxation and peace we enjoy on the beach at Spanish Room Point, near our home in Spanish Room (just north of Marystown). It's our Happy Place, just 5 minutes from the home (built with my own hands) which has sheltered our family for 50 years. We are so blessed to have access to places close to home where the only sound is the seagulls and twillicks, and the gentle lap of the waves gliding in from Placentia Bay.
