I took this photo early in the morning to catch the illumination of the rising sun's rays through the surf as it crashed into the point. Rock Harbour is one of the last remaining authentic Newfoundland fishing villages, located at the end of the road which winds through picturesque Spanish Room (near Marystown, on the Burin Peninsula). George Brown's Cove is the first of four beautiful coves curving around the rugged coast between Rock Harbour and Mortier Bay. The waves are particularly spectacular the morning after a nor'easter.
