The Lovely Lenore

The Lovely Lenore

There was a girl from up the shore
Who came to be with us boys sometimes
As we gathered at the local hangout
On saturday nights for a real good time

What brought her here was anybodys guess
But we all considered we were doubly blessed
For she was a sexy and winsome lass
And she excited us with her looks and zest

It must have been her growing up changes
That attracted her to the opposite kind
And that fitted in well with our plans
For we too were of that frame of mind

She sure knew how to turn us on
And push every button to the core
And every night managed to glom onto
A different lad to walk her home down the shore

And in so doing we had to pass
By Eddy Porter's secluded wood pile
An invitation to some serious smooching
Was an opportunity she took with gusto and smile

Her lips were as soft as eiderdown
Her body exciting pressed to ours
And we wished with all our heart and soul
That that it would go on for many hours

Of course we all made our own pitch
To win her favour and competition was stiff
But in the end she left the shore
Never to be seen or heard of anymore.

But the guys still talk about the lovely Lenore
And dream of making love to her
But that's only a dream in a suitor's eye
And that's certainly so with this here guy

John Cornick
Halifax, Nova Scotia

Submitted By: John Cornick
