The Four Elements in NL<br /> <br /> Here is a beautiful poem in praise of NL. It was written by an old English poet Robert Hayman back in the 1600s.He was governor of NL from 1618 to 1628 and wrote extensively in praise of the colony. It was dedicated to Capt John Mason who governed NL wisely for a number of years before him. I have translated the poem from the Old English. <br /> <br /> The four Elements in Newfoundland.
