We took a trip to Newfoundland from Ontario in August of 2015. We met with my parents from Port Aux Basques and took a road trip. My husband previously watched a Land and Sea program on Celie Smith. This amazing lady from Newfoundland who at a ripe age still cut her own wood, hunted and kept very active. He was determined he would meet her on the trip. She had become an inspiration to us. We knocked on her door and in typical Newfoundland hospitality invited 4 complete strangers into her home. Celie is such an amazing person. We enjoyed our short visit and left with such admiration for her spirit and sense of humor. <br /> Thank you Celie for being so hospitable. You are truly one of a kind and one of Newfoundland's greatest treasures.
