Sliding on City Streets
Sliding on City Streets

Back in 1939 in St. Johns it was quite common for children to slide on city streets in the winter. Of course this would present dangers for collisions with automobiles. In order to reduce the danger, authorities published the attached notice in The Evening Telegram on January 20, 1939. Of course this past time would be prohibited today because of the heavy traffic on all thoroughfares. Times have sure changed.

John Cornick
Halifax, Nova Scotia

Submitted By: John Cornick
