Poems from Somewhere
Poems From Somewhere

My poems they come to me teeming
During times when I am merely day dreaming
With nothing in mind they seem to find
A refuge in my feelings confined

Then I must fervently put down by pen
Those thoughts so strange before they end
And when all is done and it comes together
I am then most surprised as ever

A goodly number of poems I have amassed
All reflecting memories of my past
And still they come, I am not yet done
I cherish writing them all, one by one

Where this will end, will I ever comprehend
The origins of these ditties I have penned
But write them I must, and in the end trust
They will never ever fade into dust

John Cornick
Halifax, Nova Scotia

Submitted By: John Cornick
