Overlooking Imperfections, A Heartwarming Story
Overlooking Imperfections, a Heartwarming Story
Here is a little story my wife related to me, which I would like to share with your readers. It warmed the cockles of my heart when I heard it.
While on vacation in NL we dropped into Newtown, BB to visit the "Barbour Living Heritage Village". My wife, as she normally does, checked out the "Poop Deck Craft Shop". She saw some knitted potclothes which took her fancy, but they had some obvious imperfections. When she asked the clerk if there were more available in this color she was told no but that they were knit by a little old lady from the community who was well over 90 years old. My wife liked the colours and appreciated the effort the lady had put into making them at her age,so she bought them on the spot, telling the clerk "God bless her, I just have to have them". By the way, they are in use every day.
