Oh Lost One
Oh Lost One
Oh one so sensitive and frail
Born of a line so closely cast
Your fate was early sealed
And T’was so unbelievably fast
When sensitivities so strongly touched
Are held so deep within the breast
When the mind so fails to numb the pain
So anguish builds to an uncontrolled crest
Accumulation of a host of related stresses
Controlled over years by meds slow crawl
Until the eventual takeover of body and soul
Demanded return to the reality of withdrawal
But who could have predicted the final outcome
That would so disturb the frail mind
That the only solution seemed to be
To end it all and leave mankind behind
So all alone with thoughts so dire
You sought a tranquil watery solution
And carried it out to final fruition
The end so sudden a final resolution
Oh one so sensitive and frail
Born of a line so closely cast
Lost to us now so all alone
Your memory with us will forever last
Sombre reflections on the death of a dear one by suicide over Niagara Falls
