Ocean Pond Summer Cabins in the 1920s
This photo taken in the early 1920s of two families at their cabin in Ocean Pond. Unlike today, the community at that time was made up largely of summer homes. In those days it was common for relatives or friends to build adjoining cabins as seen in this photo. Note the Union Jack flag. At the time the photo was taken NL was still a British Colony and the Union Jack was the official flag.
