Not Forgotten

Just dreaming there in all your splendour
Awash with sunshine across your brow
You are fairer than any in my sight
But you are miles away right now

I'm sitting here in silence alone
While lonely thoughts surround me free
With pen in hand I endlessly toil
To put into poetry fond thoughts of thee

Between us rolls an ocean wide
Yet I am there with you right now
And you are here so close to my breast
The miles between don't matter anyhow

Oh Love my Love you and I are one
Our lives do so endlessly entwine
And nothing ever can become between us
Together we are but a short space in time.
