"rubber boots as i stand here tonight doing dishes, i think of a time long ago, when i got my first pair of rubbers, to play in the rain and the snow. oh yes, it’s still fun to remember, about those boots i had as a kid, and, i think if it wasn’t for mother, i’d worn them at night in my bed. but, that was a long time ago now, thirty years have come and gone, now when i work in my barn yard. i always have my rubber boot on. some days when i’m riding my tractor, the temperature is one hundred degrees, i think about my newfoundland childhood, with my rubber boots up to my knees. well! some day when i’m much older, and i can’t climb my tractor no more, i’ll just buy me a new pair of rubbers, and come home and walk on the shore."   Submitted By: NULL
