This photo belonged to the submitter’s father, John Collins, and hung in his room at the Agnes Pratt nursing home in St. John’s until he passed away earlier this year. John met Johnny Cash during a concert at Fort Pepperell (possibly in the 1950s, when Cash was in the U.S. Air Force), but the submitter doesn’t know how his father came to have this photo. The following is written on the back of the photograph: “Heman Whalen (left) and Johnny Cash at Victoria Lake, Fall 1961.
