Feeding All God’s Creatures
This little chickadee is only one of the many we feed daily and this day, Jan 25, 2011, I put out the leftover spaghetti I had open and waited (for I love to watch all our birds drop by) to see who would be first on the scene. My husband made a bird feeder about three years ago, and it sits just outside our dinette window in reach where I open my window and feed them daily. We have had the same three gray jays for almost three years now and they are so well known and brazen! Several chickadees, and three blue jays who are very skittish! I can sit and watch them for hours on end how they fight and am so surprised by how much they can carry away in minutes. We feed them bread by the pounds! They will carry away and eat almost any food except carrot. Don't ask me why, but some of your readers may know why. Maybe it's the colour, I don't know. I thought this one I took Jan. 25, 2011 was very cute so I decided to send it off to Downhome, the most wonderful magazine ever! Only thing I hates about it, there is always too much of the month left at the end of the magazine! Thanks for all you all do, Elizabeth & Wayne Welshman Submitted By: Elizabeth Welshman
