Family Christmas Card
I am enclosing a photo of our granddaughters, Lindsey (8) and Ashley (3), taken in December 2008 in Toronto. This was taken for a Christmas card, as was the custom each year.
My husband Oliver and I, and our three children, left Bell Island, N.L., in 1966 when the mines closed. We lived in Peel Village, Brampton until 2011, when we moved to a condo in Bowmanville Seniors Centre. We are happy and contented here.
We enjoy the Downhome magazine very much, as we are "armchair travellers" now. Keep up the good work.
