Failing Recall
Failing Recall
Dark soothing waters
So cold and oh so deep
Flow round me always
As I try to sleep
Keeping me awake now
As music fills my soul
And rushes through my vision
My body to enfold
Why do you now so haunt me
With coastlines so obscure
I feel that I should know them
But that's not the case for sure
Through misty eyes I see them
They sit there in a dusky haze
The feelings are familiar
But their sight so foreign to my gaze
The answer now of course is
They're memories from the distant past
And with failing recall
I know not how long they'll last
Imaginary musings from someone who may be experiencing failing recall.
