Early Air Travel in NL
Early Air Travel in NL
In the 1950s, NL was serviced by Maritime Central Airways. Back then the aircraft were prop driven and rudimentary by today’s standards. The photo shows my father, Cyril Cornick, about to embark on a business trip out of St. John’s airport in 1950. Note the narrow doorway and the step stool. We’ve come a long way since then.
