Doubt

No doubt you’ve heard of Doubt
That most Atheistic of thoughts
But did you know historically speaking
It’s history parallels very closely
That of current Theistic thinking

So why is it that Christian thinking
Has risen above and come out on top
And won the day to this point strong
But Humanistic thinking is rapidly growing
And will be a force for better before long

As a student steeped in Science
From early age to seventy eight
It has bothered me all these years
That Darwin’s Principles of Evolution
Are not yet accepted by all our peers

But I’ve no doubt that given time
And with the spread of analytical Science
Amongst the coming generations of youth
There will a’fore long come a time
When all will gain the inevitable truth
