Do You Mind?
I've never met that poet friend
But when I do the first thing I'll do
Is rush to her side and say these words
Do you mind if I give you a hug or two?
For when it comes to things poetic
We seem to be on the same wavelength
And share the same thoughts through and through
And that for us is a common strength
I'm not sure what reaction I'll get
But this I do know that for me
Hugging is a great past time
One of endearment as you can plainly see
An imaginary poem about a poet's feelings when meeting a fellow poet for the first time
