Chow Time
Chow Time
Now that is a time I love the best
A time in which I like to invest
Although it arrives but thrice a day
I would never miss it to my dismay
Back in the day when I was young
Its praise I sang to everyone
My mother looked after it in fine style
And I learned to appreciate it all the while
Now that my wife has assumed the chore
I suspect it must for her be a bore
Our two sons have followed her advice
And cooked many a meal more than once or twice
My wife she taught them well for sure
And loves to boast of it more and more
She reminds me then I do not help enough
To that I am inclined to think that is tough
But rudeness is really not my style
So I hold my tongue and keep it aboard all the while
And soldier on I continue to do
God bless those meals is my motto true
A light little ditty in praise (or otherwise) of mealtimes
