Father used to call those white buns Mother made with Raisins in them 5 a Clock Tea Buns.
5 Pm to be precise.Great for a Mug Up!
Missing those treats we had growing up can lead me to some interesting Places.
Something similiar is I love having Tea Biscuits with my Beef Stew.
Lola usually bakes some fresh ones when she is off work.
One day last week I decided to go to our Local Store to Buy some Tea Biscuits for the Stew.
Spoke with a Young Man in the Bakery.He said he never heard of them and He did not have any
and they would probably be in another Department.Junos Says I.They would not be in Meats.Certainly Not.
Saved by an Older Gentleman Employee.Yes,My Wife often makes them.Closest here is Scones.
You know Tim Horton’s have them occasionaly but my Son says they don’t sell them in Bulk.
You have to Buy one or two with a Soup.Funny that is.
A friend asked in a Store in Ottawa If they had any Puddin Bags.Lol! No luck there Either.
Not always easy coming from the Bay.Just hold on to the sense of Humour.Make our own Tea Biscuits
and Puddin Bags and away we go!
