Texas Style Chili

1 lb ground beef
2 cups onions, chopped
5 garlic cloves, minced
2 tbsp chili powder
1 tbsp ground cumin
1 tsp ground oregano
2 1/2 cups sodium-reduced beef broth
1 cup prepared salsa
2 (16 oz) cans pinto or red beans, drained and rinsed
1 cup chopped ripe tomatoes
1/2 cup nonfat sour cream
2 cups onions, chopped

1 cup prepared salsa
2 (16 oz) cans pinto or red beans, drained and rinsed
1 cup chopped ripe tomatoes
1/2 cup nonfat sour cream
Heat large saucepan and spray with nonstick cooking spray. Add ground beef, onions and garlic; cook for about 5 minutes, or until beef is no longer pink. Sprinkle mixture with spices and mix well. Add broth and salsa; bring to a boil. Cover and simmer for about 45 minutes. Stir in beans and simmer another 30 minutes, stir occasionally. Serve in bowls topped with tomatoes and sour cream (optional).
