Stewed Steak & Carrots

1 (12 oz) top sirloin steak (or moose steak), cut in strips
1 1b carrots, peeled and cut into coins
1 lg onion, peeled and sliced into rings
1 tsp garlic powder
1 - 2 tsp Montreal steak spice (more or less, to taste)
1 can beef broth

Layer carrots in bottom of 2 L casserole dish. Cover with onion rings. Top with steak slices. Sprinkle garlic powder and steak spice over top. Pour beef broth over all. Bake, covered, at 350°F for 1 1⁄2 - 2 hrs., until carrots are tender. Serve over rice or mashed potato.
