Rolls
1 tsp sugar
1 pkg quick-rising yeast
4 tsps sugar
1 tsp salt
1 cup milk
4 cups flour
4 tbsp butter, melted
Place water, 1 tsp sugar and yeast in a small bowl; stir and let stand for 10 minutes. Stir again and add 4 tsps sugar, salt and milk; beat lightly. Add flour and butter; beat lightly. Knead to a soft pliant dough, using more flour if needed. Put in a greased bowl and cover. Set in a warm place and let rise to double in size. Knead again and rise a second time. Roll and cut into small buns. Let rise 20 minutes and bake at 350-375°F for 20 minutes. While still warm, brush with melted butter.
