Pippa’s Mustard Sauce

2 eggs
4 tbsp dry mustard
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1/4 cup vinegar
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp white pepper

Beat eggs. Combine mustard and sugar, add to eggs. Add milk and blend well. Cook in double boiler, stirring until thickened. Add vinegar, blend well. Season with salt and pepper. Keeps well; store in refrigerator. Makes about 1 pint. Note: A wonderful mustard sauce for all kinds of sandwiches, devilled eggs or meats.
