In-A-Jiffy Apple Pudding

2 tbsp margarine
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1 cup flour
8 tbsp milk
1 cup chopped apples
Sauce:
1 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp margarine
pinch of salt
1 1/4 cups boiling water
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1 cup flour
8 tbsp milk

Sauce:
1 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp margarine
pinch of salt
1 1/4 cups boiling water
1 tsp vanilla
Cream margarine and sugar. Sift dry ingredients and stir in apples. Add this to creamed mixture with the milk. Pour into 2 quart dish. To make the sauce, combine brown sugar, margarine and salt. Add boiling water and stir until sugar dissolves. Add vanilla and mix. Pour sauce over above batter and bake at 400°F for 35 minutes. Delicious on its own or served with vanilla Ice cream or frozen yogurt!
