Honey Garlic Chicken Stirfry
3 sticks celery, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
1 onion, diced
Vegetable oil
1 bag frozen vegetables (Asian mix)
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 bottle honey garlic sauce
1/3 cup water
Cook chicken, celery and onion in oil. When chicken is browned, add frozen vegetables. Cook until tender, around 15 min. Mix sugar, sauce and water; add to chicken. Simmer 20 min. Serve over rice, noodles or mashed potato. (Variations: I used half the bag of vegetables. For a less-sweet sauce, you may omit brown sugar and increase 1/3 cup water to 1/2 cup. Also, to thicken sauce, I added 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with a little water.)
Cost to make: $9.68 ($2.42 per serving)
