Grape Jelly Meatballs

1 lb. ground beef
1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
1/3 cup minced onion
1/4 cup milk
1 egg
1 tbsp parsley, snipped
1 tsp salt
1/8 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp oil
1-12oz bottle chili sauce
1-10oz jar grape jelly
1/2 cup dry bread crumbs

1 tbsp oil
1-12oz bottle chili sauce
1-10oz jar grape jelly
Mix the ground beef, bread crumbs, onion, milk, egg, and next 4 ingredients together. Shape into 1” diameter balls. Melt shortening in a large skillet and brown the meatballs. Drain meatballs.Heat chili sauce and jelly in the skillet, stirring constantly, until the jelly is melted. Return the meatballs to the sauce mixture and stir until thoroughly coated. Simmer, uncovered for 20 to 30 minutes. Makes approximately 60 appetizers.
