Gaufrettes (Chips)

Difficulty: easy Prep Time: Five Minutes Total Time: 30 Minutes or Less
4 large potatoes
2 Tbsp Montreal steak spice

Slice potatoes on a mandolin as thinly as possible using the crinkle blade. With each slice, rotate the potato 45 degrees so that it creates a lattice-like pattern. Deep-fry potatoes at about 325°F until crisp and toss in spice while still warm. Drain on paper towel. Serves 2-4.
