Cherry Pineapple Cake

3 eggs
1/2 lb butter
1 1/2 cups white sugar
2 2/3 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp vanilla
1 can crushed pineapple
1 cup coconut, optional
1 pkg cherries

Cream butter and sugar until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, mix well. Add drained pineapple to butter mixture. Reserving the juice, mix together coconut, flour and baking powder. Add to batter along with required amount of the juice. Then add vanilla and cherries. Put in a greased tube pan and bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 - 2 hours.
