Buttermilk Scones

Difficulty: easy Prep Time: Five Minutes Total Time: 30 Minutes or Less
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 tbsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/3 cup butter, melted
1 1/4 cups buttermilk

In a large mixing bowl, sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add butter and buttermilk; stir until a soft dough forms. Place dough on a floured surface and press into a
rectangle about 3/4-inch thick and 4 inches wide. Cut into 8 equal pieces. Place scones on a greased baking sheet and bake in a 425°F preheated oven for 10 to 15 min., or until golden brown.
