It’s the most wonderful time of the year…..it’s the 34th annual Christmas at the Glacier, and it’s even bigger and better, with over 200 vendors in two main floor arenas, including 60 new ones!
Bring your list to the largest event of its type in the Province, traditionally known as the kick off to the shopping season, with something for everyone.
When the idea was formed, folks said, “ A Christmas craft show before Halloween? That’ll never work”
But it certainly has.
From its humble beginnings in 1993 when the Glacier arena was barely complete, to the present day with over 200 vendors from across Canada, it’s a much anticipated Christmas shopping experience, and the City of Mount Pearl is buzzing with thousands of visitors during the five day event.
We’ve pulled out all the stops once again, to put you into the festive mood, with over 60 new vendors, and of course many of your favourites from Newfoundland and Labrador, the Maritimes, and beyond, are back. The majority have hand crafted products, made locally or in the Maritimes, Quebec or Ontario.

Visitors from the early days in the 90’s, tell us they mark their calendars and now bring their own children and grandchildren. Many make the show an annual tradition and day out with family and friends, some even travelling across Newfoundland to visit… simply amazing, in this internet and online shopping age.

And you mustn’t miss the lemonade, wine and beer samples in Rink 2!
Who knows, Mr. and Mrs. Claus or the Grinch might put in a surprise appearance again.

The show runs from Wednesday 21st October, opening at 5pm through Sunday 25th, closing at 5pm. Your second visit, on your regular ticket, is good for Thursday and Friday, 10- 5, Saturday evening from 4pm til closing, or Sunday 10-noon.
Plus, there are eight special coupon deals from different vendors and restaurants, included with your ticket.
*A note for anyone looking to visit during less busy times, it’s quieter and easier to get around during the day on Thursday and Friday, and the building is wheelchair friendly.*
