Some years ago my brother and his family were travelling from Newfoundland to British Columbia to work with a plumbing business.While travelling through Quebec they stopped for a meal at a small restaurant. Most of the servers spoke only in French and the family had a difficult time telling the waiter their order. After leaving the restaurant the 6 year old son asked his mother why he didn't get the food that he wanted. She explained that they spoke English while the others spoke French, a different language. He did't quite understand but settled in for the long ride ahead. Shortly after, while travelling along the St. Lawrence River he noticed a great number of cows feeding on the lovely lush grass. Innocently he turned to his mother and blurted out, "mom, how does a cow say moo in French?" From the mouth of babes.
