Apple and Turnip Salad

1 apple, cored, peeled, quartered and thinly sliced
1⁄4 fresh turnip, peeled, quartered and thinly sliced
4 cups mixed greens
1 carrot, thinly sliced
1⁄4 cup toasted almonds
Raspberries for garnish
Dressing:
1 tsp dry mustard
1⁄2 tsp dried basil
1⁄4 cup cider vinegar
1⁄2 cup maple syrup
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 clove garlic, minced
1 cup oil
1 tsp salt
1⁄4 tsp ground pepper
1⁄4 fresh turnip, peeled, quartered and thinly sliced

Dressing:
1 tsp dry mustard
1⁄2 tsp dried basil
1⁄4 cup cider vinegar
1⁄2 cup maple syrup
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 clove garlic, minced
1 cup oil
1 tsp salt
1⁄4 tsp ground pepper
For the dressing: Combine mustard and basil in a small bowl. Whisk in vinegar, maple syrup, lemon juice and garlic. Add oil and continue whisking until ingredients are well combined. Season with salt and pepper. Refrigerated, the dressing will keep for several weeks. Combine salad ingredients in a bowl, toss with dressing and serve.
