Mashed Potato Casserole

1 pkg (3 oz cream) cheese, softened
1 tsp garlic salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/2 cup sour cream
2 1/2 - 3 lbs potatoes (cooked and mashed well)
2 tbsp butter or margarine
Paprika or parsley sprigs for garnish (optional)

In a bowl, stir together cream cheese, garlic salt, pepper and sour cream until smooth. Cook and mash potatoes until lumps are all gone. Then add cheese mixture and spoon potatoes into dish. Dot with butter and bake at 400°F for 25 minutes. These potatoes are really good served with ham or any meat dish. Garnish with paprika or parsley sprigs.
