Although I currently live in NS, I will never call any place other than Newfoundland my home. I have always tried to make sure that my two young children are aware of their roots and of NL culture. I think they must be picking up on at least some of the things I have been teaching them. <br /> <br /> My three year old daughter received a set of magnetic dress up dolls for Christmas. She loves to play with them at the kitchen table while I make supper. We started playing a game where she would dress the dolls and then I would come see them and guess what activity they were dressed for. The answer was always that they were ready to go to either school, bed, the beach, shopping or a party. One day however, I looked at the dolls and was unable to guess what they were dressed for. Their outfits were mismatched and my daughter had clothes covering the doll&acirc;€™s faces. I proceeded to ask her &acirc;€œWhy do your dolls have clothes on their faces?&acirc;€<br /> <br /> Her answer: &acirc;€œThey&acirc;€™re mummers!&acirc;€<br />   Submitted By: Elizabeth Blundell
