young miner
A young miner stands there pround and alone listening intently to the drills steady drone He thinks back to a time when he stood on the deck with the sun shining brightly as they rounded the neck Time to change steel now bring the rod down he's back again in sudbury a dirty mining town But here's where the money is or so they all say he still dares to dream of going out the bay Those days are long gone now like a notes dying sound and he spends his time working underground The nickle and silver cobalt PGM and gold discolor his skin now makes him feel old For it's a hard life we choose us men of the mines but we'll never forget newfoundland and happy times For that's where our hearts are and always will be someday we'll make it home again and forever to stay.
