Enclosed you will find some postcards I found in my father's photo albums. He was Robert Herdman, born in Corner Brook in November of 1925. His parents were William and Martha Herdman. They moved to NL in 1925 with the British-owned Pulp and Paper Mill, later to become Bowater, then Kruger, in operation on the Humber River with logging on Deer Lake with tug boats pulling logs to the mill from Upper Falls. Both my grandfathers, William Herdman and Percy Tipping were employed by the mill. These post cards are from both of them as they toured Europe during the Great War. My plan is to visit each town on the back of these cards. Most of the postcards are attributed to Antony Ypres.   Submitted By: Susan Herdman
