It forms and falls to earth in flakes of white
To cover the earth by day and by night
When it piles above knee level
Men and women will have to shovel
To be able to walk down the path that leads to their door
And then it might fall and gather once more
Like a blanket of white it lays to cover the ground
To have children play and slide around
So be careful to watch the slippery spots
For beneath the snow the ice might be lots
Children love to slide and make snowmen
So have plenty of fun in the snow and jump in
Slide down a hill and squeal and watch your friend
Slide down the hill and climb up again
For it seems like only yesterday I played in the snow
Oh Boy! How time flies and that was about half a century ago
To go the way you wanted to go and it would go there
But nowadays its crazy carpets that go anywhere
Those are not equipped to steer
Snow makes it slippery on the highways so beware
