The one thing I didn't want to happen on our wedding day was rain! When I woke up the morning of October 27th I felt sick looking out my window at all the wind and rain. Just before heading to our reception we decided to try for one more picture on the wharf in Upper Island Cove. It was pouring and we got soaked from water coming in over the wharf, but our amazing photographer, Darrell Sharpe, convinced me to stay for this shot saying, “Lucy, if I didn’t think it was going to be worth it I wouldn’t make you stand here…trust me,” so I did. Thanks to him and all that rain, we managed to get the most amazing photo on our wedding day! I’ve been asked a million times if the photo was photoshopped and how Darrell got those “stars” in the picture but the look on some people's face when I tell them it’s really rain is priceless.
