What Nannies are made of
My Nan, Barb Janes, passed away in September this past year. I went back home for her funeral. I wrote this poem for her and read it at her funeral. What Nannies are made of Nannies are made of love They watch over us like stars above They hug us tight Tuck us in at night Nannies are made of love Nannies are made of kisses Ice cream and birthday wishes Baked cookies and sweets Yummy homemade treats Nannies are made of kisses Nannies are made of laughter Jokes and the sore sides after The chuckles we share Without any care Nannies are made of laughter Nannies are made of cuddles Bundled up warm for snuggles A hand knitted sweater There's nothing else better Nannies are made of cuddles Nanny is made of love She watches over us from above She shines so bright Watching us day and night Nanny is made of love By: Robyn Gabriel Submitted By:
