What Do You Make Of It All?
This life is so precious we suppose
And close to God is Man?
What of the fact life lives on life?
A cruel and telling plan.
So far beyond the mind of Man
S'a realm as great as God.
Pretentious fools preach golden rules
In dogmatic ways so flawed.
Each of their own, holds to alone
"The one and only way"
The whole world's wrong? Should we believe
Theirs' is the way to pray?
One life one form & yet twice born
Is all you need to be.
Your God once found within your heart
This fact will set you free
My wonder is this once I live,
With each day's rising sun,
Of whom I thank in daily prayer-
My chance to see it done.
The greatness of a conscious thought,
Of care and courage shown.
Removes the needs of afterlife
Rewards must be unknown!
A selfless use of all we see,
The thought it's just on loan.
