Wedding Picture
Uncle Eli and Aunt Edith Toope Oct. 18/48 Last fall I had a wonderful trip back to NL, and thanks to the Downhomer, from a previous picture 3/98, "Where are They Now?" school picture. A school friend contacted me, and we spent some time visiting and looking at school annuals. Had a wonderful visit, and promised to keep in touch more in the future. I also attended the 50th anniversary of my uncle and aunt - Mr. and Mrs. Eli Toope from Port Rexon, Trinity Bay; many friends and relatives there. Picture included of Oct. 18/ 48; was one great party. I also visited a house in Trinity built in 1798, and now being restored; my mother worked there as a young woman - a lovely old house. I visited your great store in St. John's. My time in NL went too fast as usual. Submitted By: Dorothy Myers Hawthorne
