This old photo taken in 1942 shows my family, Father Cyril Cornick (top L), Mother Olive Cornick (bottom C) and Sister Ann Cornick (bottom L) standing alongside an automobile of the time assigned to my father who was working with the Ministry of War Transport during the second world war. Also shown are family friends Roger Lench (top R) and his wife Fan Lench ( bottom R). Note the white markings on the car fender which were mandatory during wartime when blackouts were in effect
